Dr. Colcleugh, Plastic Surgeon, is an honours graduate from the University of Western Ontario. He received his surgical training in various centers in Canada, the United States and Europe. Dr. Colcleugh is Professor of Surgery at UWO and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Most of us believe in the importance of inner beauty over external beauty, yet physical appearance remains one of our most significant vehicles for self-expression. Appearance affects our lives in many ways including our self confidence and self-esteem, our relationships with loved ones and others, and even our success at work.

Procedures

Blepharoplasty
Eyelid Surgery “Blepharoplasty”. Dr. Colcleugh performs eyelid surgery as an outpatient using either general or local anesthesia. The surgery may involve either the upper or lower lids. Enhancement is the result of a reduction in the fatty bags, tightening of the eyelid tissues and removal of wrinkled skin. Swelling and bruising may persist for one to two weeks. Tummy Tuck
Dr. Colcleugh performs tummy tuck surgery as an out patient. The surgery involves removal of excess skin and fatty tissues and frequently tightening of the abdominal muscles. Patients frequently have had weight loss, multiple pregnancies or excess skin and stretch marks. Tummy tuck surgery is one of the most gratifying of all plastic surgical procedures. Breast Augmentation
Dr Colcleugh performs breast augmentation as an out patient under general anesthesia. The surgery takes approximately one hour and recovery between one to two weeks depending upon the level of activity. Dr. Colcleugh uses both saline inflatable implants and cohesive gel implants. Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed procedures in our facility. For more information on breast augmentation.

Mastopexy
Dr. Colcleugh performs mastopexy or “Breast Lifting” surgery as an out patient under general anesthesia. Surgery takes approximately two hours and recovery is between one to two weeks depending upon the level of activity. Forehead Lift(Brow Lift)
Forehead lift involves the elevation of the forehead and eye brows to a more attractive position. Frequently forehead lifts elevate the upper eyelid eliminating the need for eyelid surgery. Forehead lifts may be done as a single procedure or combined with face lift surgery. Dr. Colcleugh performs forehead surgery as an outpatient. Incisions are usually hidden in the hair or hair line and post operative recovery can be as short as ten days depending on the amount of swelling and bruising. Liposuction
Dr. Colcleugh performs liposuction as an out patient. The procedure is done either under general anesthesia or intra-venous sedation. Liposuction removes unwanted fat deposits resulting in an enhancement of body contour. Liposuction is not intended as a weight reduction treatment. The procedure takes between one to two hours depending on the number of areas treated. Recovery is usually quick and may be just a few days. For more information on liposuction.

Rhinoplasty
Dr. Colcleugh performs rhinoplasty surgery as an outpatient under general anesthesia. The size and shape of the nose are changed using small inconspicuous incisions placed inside the nose. A protective splint is worn for a week and recovery is usually complete at that time. Although changes are noticed immediately, further time is required for the skin and other soft tissues to adjust to the new shape. For more information on rhinoplasty click here.
Rhytidectomy “Face Lift”
Dr Colcleugh performs face lift surgery as an out patient. Changes generally result in improvement to sagging neck and jowls. Frequently face lifts are combined with other procedures such as eyelid lifts, forehead lifting or laser resurfacing for wrinkles. Recovery generally takes between two to three weeks to resolve any swelling or bruising. For more information on face lift surgery.

Arm Reduction
Dr Colcleugh performs arm lifting or arm reduction surgery as an outpatient under general anaesthesia. Surgery is usually to correct sagging extra skin on the upper arm following weight loss. Recovery generally takes one to two weeks. For more information on Arm lifts.

Botox Injections
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Injectable fillers
Dr. Colcleugh uses various injectable fillers in his practice. These products when used correctly will fill out depressions and wrinkles as well as lift depressed scars. Dr. Colcleugh performs all injections personally. For more information click here.
We provide a complete line of skin care products as well as specialized items for pigmentation and scarring problems. Our skin care consultants use Elos technology for control of redness (rosacea) and brown spots (pigmentation). All of Dr. Colcleugh’s surgical patients receive a complimentary skin care procedure.
